In less than two years, our community has rallied together to fund and build the new Farm Pavilion at the Northwest Washington Fairground— a two-level, 26,000 sq. ft. building that replaces several of the older structures near the Front Street entrance to the Fairgrounds. When it is complete the building will house a Washington State University satellite office for research and support of agriculture, a Food Lab with a teaching kitchen and the exciting new exhibits of The Farming for Life Experience.

Having raised $4.6 million for the construction of the building, the next phase of the fundraising will support the design, fabrication and installation of The Farming for Life Experience. These interactive exhibits have the potential to redefine farming in the 21st century, as they creatively showcase the rich history of farming in our region. The Farming for Life Experience celebrates the past while focusing on the innovations in farming practices. The exhibits will guide visitors through the latest farming developments in research, planting, growing, harvesting and distribution of food—each activity enriched by the intergenerational stories of people who make farming their life.

Your help is now needed to raise the funds to design and build this world-class eduction center so that The Farming for Life Experience can offer year-round programs and educational experiences for families, schools and people from all walks of life who want to learn more about the wondrous enterprise of agriculture.
